I am a network security engineer from Lincoln, Nebraska, and have worked in the Information Technology field for over 30 years. This site started as a way to experiment with various web content management solutions and has evolved into a place to keep and share various tech notes and “how-to” documents in my various areas of interests.
The name “Boiler Room” comes from the company I worked for at the dawn of the internet age. This site pays homage to the spirit of learning and sharing that happened among a handful of engineers and programmers in an overcrowded office space with almost a dozen servers and one very overworked air conditioner.
